Dr. Xiquan Dong


Professor Dong received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Meteorology at Penn State University under the guidance af Professor Thomas P. Ackerman In 1996. From July 1996 to July 1999, he worked at NASA Langley Research Center validating satellite products with surface data, and then he worked at University of Utah as a research assistant professor in the Department of Meteorology. Since August 2002, Professor Dong has been working in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of North Dakota.

RESEARCH INTERESTS
Over 20 years of experience in atmospheric sciences, including development and application of ground-and satellite-based sensing techniques, cloud physics and radiation, and parameterizations for global climate models.
